Welcome to the all new Pet Idol 2012. This year we are looking for a purrfect feline, a special canine and finally any other animal you call your own.
Does your exotic bird fill the house with pleasant sounds? Does your kitty fit in at home like one of the family? How about your dog, is it truly your best friend?
YES! Enter your pet in the Pet Idol contest to see how it measures up against other animals in the same category. How does it work?
Submission will be open from July 1- July 15 for a $10 entry fee. Submissions will be published in The Hawk Eye every day from July 26-30. Voting will be open from July 26- August 10. Votes will be $1 each and you may vote as often as you like within the voting period. Voting proceeds will benefit local animal shelters. Prizes in each category will be awarded based on vote totals. Winners will be announced online and in The Hawk Eye on August 19
The 2012 Pet Idols from each category in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will each receive the prizes listed below.
